Geraldene Callanan
Geraldene Callanan’s background is in the field of social ecology and systems thinking. Formerly with the Australian Business Network, she has worked with a broad cross-section of clients, guiding teams of senior managers through methodologies in areas such as strategy finding, scenario planning, cultural mapping and leadership development programs.
Geraldene co-authored Burying the Twentieth Century: New Paths for New Futures (1997) examining emerging leadership issues in a complex global business environment. More recently Geraldene has been a Director of Quadrant Consulting and Associate of the Systemic Development Institute, where she has worked with a range of industry, government and community clients, and continued to develop her focus on leadership development through systemic practice – particularly through executive coaching and leadership development programs.
Geraldene’s passion for leadership coaching is borne out of the belief that through a self-directed and holistic approach to understanding the complexity of their lives and work situations, every individual can make a proactive difference to their own lives and become conscious leaders who, through the development of their own self-awareness, understand the impact they have in a variety of contexts and thus can make a difference not only to their lives, but to those around them.
